On Monday 4th February 2019 I was delighted to appear on BBC Essex as part of the Your Essex show focusing on the nearby village of Stock.

Although not a resident of the village, it is a place that has had a significant impact on my life and those of my family.

Five years ago my daughter was diagnosed with ALL Leukaemia. Thankfully she has now recovered after a lengthy course of treatment and the wonderful help of the fantastic NHS and in particular the nurses and doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

It could well have been a different story though if it wasn’t for the crucial early diagnosis given to us by our family doctor at the Stock Surgery, Dr Acorn.

He also helped me a great deal at the time because I found the whole experience completely overwhelming and battled mental health issues including severe depression and anxiety. Thanks to the surgery and their help I was able to overcome these struggles though and I am now able to use those dark times to help my clients with their own personal battles.
